My Story

Welcome to Stacy's Blooming Acres!  I am so excited you have decided to visit and learn about us.  My name is Stacy Harwell.  I am a registered nurse turned flower farmer.  I worked in nursing full time up until four years ago when I was given the opportunity to stay home and homeschool my children.  I took the leap and never looked back. We are a family that loves the outdoors.  I have been in the garden as long as I can remember and always enjoyed working in the yard and growing different flowers.  The last couple years I started growing cut flowers mainly to just bring an extra amount of joy in my home.  I loved the idea of walking down a row of flowers and rubbing my hands through them and making bouquets to share with family and friends.  I had some successful crops and with some prompting from friends and support from my amazing husband, we have taken the leap.  We grow a huge garden every year that feeds us throughout the year, so why not do flowers!  I love the joy flowers bring and have always loved receiving a bouquet or picking wildflowers to put in a mason jar.  I have had this joy and love even as a little girl so this just fits.  It is scary putting yourself out there and creating your own business but getting to do what you love and sharing it with others just seems perfect.  I am a dog, cat, chicken, hedgehog and duck lover.  ( I have them all and rural king/ tractor supply gets me every time).  I am a mother to four amazing boys and I have the best husband in the world.  I refer to him as my sexy beast so feel free to use that term too.  He is my biggest supporter in all my wild ideas.  I have an amazing family and a daddy that loves to go on most of my adventures with me (everyone needs a foreman).  We are just simple people that Love Jesus and try to keep him first in our life.  I hope with this business I can provide people with a little extra joy,  local florists with some fresh flowers and individuals with the experience to pick, cut and make a bouquet, whether that be with friends, family or just for fun.  I love to learn new things and this has definitely been a learning experience.  I can't wait to see what the future holds and I joyfully invite you all to join me in this amazing journey.  Bring on the Blooms!!
